This is some example of my collage paintings, done by paper pasted on wood panel or canvas.

Collage derives its name from the French verb coller, to glue.

This term was coined by both Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso in the beginning of the 20th century when collage became a distinctive part of modern art.

The Ride

Toronto Streetcar, oil on canvas, 11″x 14″

The streetcar is good way to see Toronto and really represent the city. It’s a sunny day, I wanted to capture light and reflection on the streetcar. I’m using palette knife to paint in alla prima technique, or au premier coup.
